Default Bassani megaphones too quiet

Does anyone know if there are different baffles available for the megaphones? Or has anyone done any mods to make them deeper or louder and their results? Thanks

They offer their pipes in a 2 and 2 1/2 inch core. You need to pull one and see which you have. A 2 1/2 should be a good bit louder than a 2.

I purchased from dealer and there were two choices, long baffles (quiet) and short (loud). And yes, I pretty sure I read somewhere they are packed baffles.

Pulled them tonight and took off the packing. Damn sounds great--wish I would have done this when I first bought them. Sounds mean now...super happy.

I emailed Bassani last night after I saw this post asking them the same thing. I couldnt remember if I bought the long or short cores. Here is there response below. Very timely might I add.

Long cores go from the inlet to the exit, short core is about 12" long, you can look in the exiting end and see that it does not run the full length of the muffler body. Take the baffles you have now out and cut the fiberglass off then replace them back into the muffler, this will increase the sound and may save you some $$.

Replacement cores are $120.00 for the pair.

Kern- If you are looking for chest thumping deep and loud from your megaphones take off the packing. I can't believe how it sounds now! Thanks for posting that email also.

My only concern is that there might be a loss of power in the midrange taking the packing out.

Did you notice any difference after you took the packing out?

Can anyone else advise if this is a good idea or not? I'm at almost 80 HP with the stuff I have done so far.
