Default Caliper mounted lights?

Hello all, so I've already ridden 300 miles on the new RG. Put the 12" Windvest on it big improvement, no buffeting now. I'm 6'.

On to the question I'm looking for more light. Used to the lights turning and the daymaker has a definate cut off point. There bright but.......So I'm thinking of mounting Driving lights to the fender mounts or the Caliper mounts. Anyone know anything besides e goodies? They are really expensive I know you pay for what you get.

Sorry for the rant. Here's a quick shot

Love the new Project Rushmore Suspension

I put the Custom Dynamics Cool Magic LED driving lights on my '14 Limited, then just transfered them to my '15 Road King. VERY bright, easy install, only draw 3/4 of an amp. Bike is VERY visible to oncoming traffic

I've only seen expensive ones! Having a batwing I haven't bought any because of cost. Can you redirect your headlights sideways a little, to widen the spread of light they give? If anyone in your family is stuck for Xmas present ideas for you.........

I installed Motolights on the calipers. Filled light where the Daymaker cut off. Great company also.

I posted my path to phenomenal lighting on another post that is titled something about 'selling my Daymaker'....look over on it, nothing fancy, nothing expensive, just 330 watts of light going out to the front if you want it all for less than fifty bux...maybe around forty bux, actually...

You may get the lights to turn on slow speed turns, i.e. going around a corner at a street intersection, but for curves on the road, your lights don't actually turn in the direction that you want to go. When you lean your bike into a curve, you are actually pulling the handle bars in the opposite direction so you headlight is actually pointing a slight bit to the opposite direction of the curve you are following. Your RG gives you better lighting straight ahead than a SG would. Additional auxiliary lights don't throw enough forward light as your main headlights do. Check you state regs on how many forward lights you can actually have on the bike. Most states allow only 4.

I am not sure if lights mounted so low as on the calipers are going to throw very much light down the road? HD has the new LED light kit for the crash bar, they would be wider set and a bit higher. Just a thought.

That isn't true! We initiate the turn by pulling or pushing in the 'wrong' direction, but that simply serves to make them turn in the desired direction. The wheel and any lights associated with it will point where we are going. Gyroscopes and counter-steering are fascinating things, which you can study on Wiki here.
