The Cop Bikes around here have the Moto Lights, they are bright as hell. I think they are more for being seen though as opposed to seeing better.

Exactly what I was thinking. That being said, they don't turn much in the direction you are going, maybe a degree or two. May be enough.

Well you can give it a try next time you're out riding. Go into a curve by push/pull in the opposite direction of the turn then let go of the bars. You're going to straighten up from the lean and go into the guard rail.

I found this website today, wondering how much light they put out.

I also like the Harley Daymaker Fog Lights that will work with lower fairings, but they are expensive for all the parts you need.

Here is a thread on them here on HDForums.com

The more lights on the front the better for a few reasons. The most important is that more light on the front makes you more visible to everyone else on the road. The other attributes including improved visibility, are secondary but a welcomed improvement over stock. Since only about 4% of crashes are rear-enders from cages, the majority of crashes are fontal, so the more light the better to make you bigger at night and more visible in the day.

If you are capable of custom wiring, then your choices for caliper mounted lighting is very, very broad. As for kits, here's just one option:

An internet search will reveal lots more. Sport touring and adventure bikers have been adding these lights for years and enjoying the benefits. It's one of those things that most HD owners never bother to install....unfortunately.
