I did se255 cams 2 years later bike keeps stalling when stopped at a light, I check every electrical thing can think of nothing stopped the problem. so finally im wondering if the valves are not opening properly at low rpm, bad lifter cam lobe chewed off, so i pull the cams out then look at the lifters find small pits in the face on 2 of the rollers, now the big question is where did the pieces go to. flushed out the crankcase cam box strained all the liquid that came out nothing quessing it went into the filter. only thing i can figure is the tiny pieces must have went into the lifter oil fill hole and valves in lifter didnt pump up properly causing the odd stall at idle. ended up using new stock harley lifters since i had to buy new cams had very tiny scratches on one of the lobes and was worried it would start to pit just like the roller face did. so because of the new cam purchase I didnt have enough money for a set of woods lifters. ended up with harley c lifters, no b left anywhere. the c lifters dont pump us as nice as the b's did. for 280 bucks and the possibility of pulling it apart again get new ones and not harley c version either odd thing was ,I didnt see one mark in the oil pump gears

 

Don't reuse the stock lifters....

 

Comp lifters are less $$ than HD & 10 times better, I've put over 150K on a couple of sets with no problems, good enough for me.

That solved the problem. Never stalled again and that was 2 years ago now. I still don't like the c lifters. Noisey at start most of the time and low rpm the odd tick till over 2 grand. Get gstermans. Woods. S and s. Just forget Harley c lifters
