Default CVO seat vs stock seat?

I have an 09 SG. I'm in the market for a new seat. The 12 CVO SG two piece seat looks really good to me. Is it better, more comfortable, than the stock 1 piece seat that comes on the SG? I haven't found any aftermarket 2 piece seats that do anything for me.

Tia,
MJ

seats are a highly subjective thing. what works for one, may not work for another. however, having said that, on my 2010 roadglide, i bought the cvo seat for it (minus the pillion, never ride 2 up). it is lower than the stock seat, not quite as padded (which gives it a sleeker look), and i found it to be very comfortable, even on all day rides.

after buying the cvo, i still have the stock seat on it almost 2 years later. my wife has a corbin solo seat on hers, and the stock cvo seat sits a little lower than it does. i'd love to have the corbin, but i've got short legs, and even an inch makes a difference. maybe a hollywood solo down the line, but for now the cvo seat is fine.

I own a 12 rg cvo and that seat is the hardest, most uncomfortable seat I have ever owned.... It was the first thing I removed and sold.
Seats are subjective to the *** that sits on them.... Mine hated it.

Take a look at the new cvo 2 piece seats, they look good also. I do have the 2012 cvo 2 piece and I really like it. I have had it on my 2011, 2014, and now my 2015.

The seat on my bike is very comfortable. The only downside is no backrest. Still looking.

I went to a custom seat guy, had my seat reformed with new foam and the new generation gel, it's a CVO seat, very comfortable, only cost me $150 and still slim look.
Good money spent.

I hope the 15 CVO Street Glide seat is comfy.I bought a new one a few weeks ago for my 14 Street Glide. But I won't get a chance to try it out until spring.Maybe I'll just sit on it in the garage for a few hours.

I have a 12 CVO RG and although Ive only put about 700 miles on it I actually like it. I have an 07 RG with stock seat and that was perfect and the most comfortable. Seating is subjective I looked into reupholstering mine and a upholsterer that Ive known for over 20 years gave me this advice based on his observations of 30+ years in the business. HD seat foam is one of the best on the market, probably like a 9 out of 10. I think he said the only thing that could be better is latex foam sealed in a muslim fabric, and for the cost may or maynot notice a difference. Stay away from gel, Corbins are like a brick because they use cheap foam and glue something over it which makes it tight as a drum. In almost 20 years or riding HD's I have NEVER seen or felt a comfortable Corbin seat, IMI they make a good wheel chock.

i'm gonna totally disagree with you. hd foam has always been 'too soft' for the long haul. they feel great in the showroom, but once you get a few miles on them, they tend to compress way too far, where you end up with 'hot spots'.

i've had several corbin seats, they've all been the most comfortable seats i've owned. the only reason i don't own one now, is that the cvo seat sits lower than the corbin, and i need the ground reach for my short legs. the wife doesn't have that problem, and owns a corbin.
