Now that I got a Daymaker, I'm thinking of selling it...

Do some research HarleyGTP. People have been adding slightly more powerful light bulbs to their vehicles for, I don't know.... 50 years. And no one ever had a disaster. Kind of like the "don't run an open belt, or you will slice your foot off". But hey, its all good. Add the ceramic plug, and the heat issue becomes a NON ISSUE. Just lots more light. Still, the MOCO koolaid drinkers will fight till their last breath to defend there 400 dollar purchase. Because anything less is..... foolish.
I agree with:

I have the same H4 but at 90/130 watts plus a couple of Wagner 4509 square beam 100 watt landing light bulbs in the spots that I got for nine bucks each from Amazon...wired in with a Bosch relay...for well less than fifty bucks I have phenomenal lighting that cannot be equaled by any high buck trendy lighting...period. my riding partners didn't believe until when a cage almost cut one of them off & I hit the switch...damn near welded their eyelids to their eyeballs. They couldn't convert fast enough!

Nah. Just make certain you have the ceramic plug & upgrade the spotlight wiring when you wire in the relay. If yer skeered about the headlight wiring just go a size or two bigger. The bigger H4 DOES generate more heat and I agree about not using one in a small bucket...but this is a TOURING forum so that infers that we win have big buckets...I'm telling ya, folks are missing the boat & spending a LOTTA money on lights that just don't get the job done as well as my alternative. Yes, they do draw more current but shouldn't over tax the charging system on a healthy Harley.

Yeah, this is almost too comical for a response, but you know me...

I am a light nut.
I have used Bosch and Hella housings with a dozen different H-4 bulbs. You may have issues with wiring overheating with the 100/130 ones. I learned the hard way.
Best bulbs were form Candlepower inc. just having the biggest dick of a bulb does not mean better light output.
Also upgrade to passing lamps with H-3 bulbs and PIAA or Candlepower bulbs.
I had incredible light coverage pattern and thought I was happy and could do no better.
Caved and went P-7 at first hated it. Got used to it and adjusted it to suit me.
I will never go back to old technology inferior Halogen bulbs in my main beam again, the P-7 is so superior except in wasted useless light thrown out making you think they are better. The "hot spot" is awesome and acts like a pointer to me.
Have not upgraded the spots due to $$$ shortage and not sure I will. I have yellow tint and like the way they stand out. could tint the LEDs but ......
My bad *** H-4 sits on the shelf collecting dust.
FWIW I purposely ride at night in the mountains with dancing critters.

I just ran across this thread and I will skip the opinion on the high wattage bulbs and wiring issues, but what I want to know is I want to go with the led lighting on my 12 CVO RG. I am hearing theres 2 kinds of LEDS reflectors and projectors that will fit the RG. Which one puts out more light and is one uglier than the other?

The new reflector type that comes in the 15 RG looks awesome IMHO.
