The photos is my dad on his bike.

We first went with the La Choppers Twin Peaks. They are awesome bars. They are just to far forward for us. My dad is 5'7 & I'm 5'8. We have average or maybe even just over average length arms. I don't think arm length is the problem. As you see them in the picture, these bars are adjusted as far back as they will go. When turned hard left there is 3/16" clearance between the bend in the bar and the fuel tank. The bars are centered in the bar clamp like they should be.

My question is, I know yours are set as far forward as you can get them, how much clearance do you have between the bar and the tank? Do you think we'd be able to get the bars pulled back a little bit?

Also, in the photo, his backrest is also adjusted as far forward as it will go. He's really only looking for maybe 2-3 more inches, just so his shoulders are able to sit square instead of reaching forward rounding out his shoulders.

Thanks for any assistance,
Shane

BTW, your bike look fantastic!!
http://cyclesmiths.com/ApeHangers.html been on my SG since 07 I'm 5-8 160. They are for riding not for show..

They are 16" Vindiktas. Bought them through Harley since the Yaffes were 4-6 weeks backordered.

I was waiting for yaffes since july. I like the 1.5" better anywise. I think the 16s might be the way I have to go. Are your elbows strait? Shoulder length? How tall are you? Sorry for all the questions.

Im 6' 2", my elbows are a little bent. Super comfortable and you can still see the mirrors below your elbows. Also it is a total improvement in the bikes handling.

Also be sure to check out the matching Vindikta crash bars to complete the look and give the entire bike its own personality.

Unfortunately I already installed yaffe crash bar back in september. If I can get rid of my yaffe crash bar I will get those. I see on the website vindikta jumped their price up 100 bucks last week for their bars.

I've been looking for a crash bar that would match my PYO monkey bars. I didn't like the PYO crash guard. I think this is the one (Vindikta), I've been loooking for!

Default 16 Vindikta apes with matched crash bar.

These are 16 inch Vindikta bars and crash bars. Great ride and very comfortable.
