I left Chicago for the very reason you guys speak. Here in Virginia, its gonna be cold. Snow bothers me, cold doesn't. I'm ridin' to Chesepeke this weekend. Heated gloves is all I need.

79 here in Tucson, ride year round just early in the day in the summer. Mt. Lemmon summit is an hour ride from my house, great ride and twenty degrees cooler.

Low last night, 25F, high today 41F, but it is clear and dry. While I would prefer warm and dry, I'll take clear and dry in winter. Good weather through the weekend, heated gear. Western Washington's cold weather riders will be out in force this weekend trying to figure out what that big glowing ball is up in the sky.

I'll agree that you NORMALLY ride year around in Tucson. However, the winter (January and February) of 2013 that wasn't the case. I decided to head for the sunshine with my bike and golf clubs. Rented a Condo in Oro Valley on the Vistoso Golf Course. First two weeks was in the low 20's. Then in February, the 21st to be exact, had snow (see picture from my condo). I had three days, one was the day I was leaving in Early March, that it made it to 70 degrees. Maybe you should send me some money so I DON"T come down there again.
