Default 2 into 1 exhausts

have an 08 SG and right now have VH 2 into 1, looking into upgrading bags and not sure if I want the non cut out bags or the 2 into 1 bags, but more importantly the exhaust pipes. What are some good ones to possibly go with. Thx. new but not new

Welcome to the forums. Stop by the new guy area and introduce yourself. I have the Dragos 2:1 Dragula and the wife has D&D. The D&D is a little louder but I think the Dragos sounds better. Both are top notch quality and performance. The best thing about them is not everyone has them. Also can't beat the Dragos for the sound on decel, the rumble is awesome.

There's a lot of options as far as pipes go. Sound is a personal prefference. I have a FatCat 2 into 1 on my bike, my brother has Drago's Dragula's on both of his bikes. Both perform well, totally differn't sounds. Rush Reaper's are nice and better as well. The new Thunderheader "X" series is awesome and V&H Propipe is also another solid choice. All these are 2 into 1's and are unique in there own way. I've tuned every one of them multiple times and they all perform pretty well. Then there's the true duals, Rinehart True Duals work well, i've never been impressed with the V&H dresser duals, Freedom makes some decent true duals as well.

What part of VA are you in? I haev a shop in Fredericksburg, your welcome to come over and hear what my bike sounds like with the FatCat if you're are close.

I like the sound of the Thunder header but they start looking like **** in a very short time. If the quality stayed aesthetic as the sound, now you've got an exhaust.

I've had 4 Harley's and I've put ThunderHeaders on all of them. I had a 2-1 on my Heritage and the rest have been duals. Either way, they are the best sounding in my opinion (loud) and all you have to do is buy their heatshields (like most other chrome pipes) and you don't have to worry about any Bluing. The chrome on them isn't bad (like a peeling bad) but they will have a tendency to Blu. Once you've heard them, you're hooked if you like a loud throaty sound. At the end of the day, it's what sounds good to you and then there is the performance factor which does/doesn't always play into everyone's decision.

I have dragos Dragula 2-1 pipes also. I really like the sound. Some of my friends have true duals or 2-1s but I prefer my sound the best. Ask some of your friends that have different pipes what they have and consider them. I bought the Dragula pipes after reading a lot of info on them on this forum and some other sites. Do some reading via search on the different pipes and see what others are saying and pick what suits your fancy. You probably will not go wrong with what the other guys are saying about their pipes and will not with the Dragula either. The pipes are high quality as I am sure the others mentioned are also.
