so I haven't used ARCO in years but after doing a little research I am contemplating it. Thoughts?

Any of the top tier gasoline is good to use. Has to do with the amount of additive in each gallon of gasoline.

I always wounder when and if they add those additives. My KIA requires the "top tier" fuel due to direct injection.
I like to run 100LL in my bike.

A KIA with specific fuel requirements? That's hilarious and more than likely a load of BS. My 2014 Chevy Silverado has Direct Injection and 350 hp with no such requirements. However, for the detergents in Top Tier Gasoline I would definitely recommend it.

I don;t use arco, merely because they don't accept my CC at the pumps*

I use alot of costco gas and have good results in a variety of vehicles- when I pulled the fuel pump in the 2001 sierra at 160k, the inside of the fuel tank was perfectly clean, no silt, dirt water etc.

otherwise name brands- but I have had bad gas from name brands too

*I don;t like to leave my bike at gas stops- I came across a rider just off I 40. while he was inside, someone took his t bags etc from the bike.

I work for a Oil Company as a Gasoline Transport Drive and load and deliver loads to service stations in Illinois and Indiana. We have only one additive tank at the terminal, so the additive is the same in all the gas loaded at the terminal, the difference is the amount of additive added to each gallon of the brand of gas being hauled.

so does that mean that 1 brand ( carried by you) may have 2 or 3 times more detergent ( for example) than another brand?

page 9-72 of your owners manual.
To keep fuel systems clean, TOP

recommended.

I run one of the Costco gas stations and I can tell it's top quality. Basically all the gas is the same, the difference is in the additive and how the gas station is maintained, tested, and monitored. Costco adds 5 times the amount of additive required to be top tier branded. The tanks are computer monitored 24/7, we take pump flow test readings and test the gas by hand every week. We have a seperate additive tank that is electronically loaded based on how much fuel is in the main tanks and is added right before the tanker dumps his load to ensure a good mix. I change out all the filters anytime the flow rate is drops lower then 8 GPM or every 2 months, which ever comes first. When I take out the filters they still look clean. I have never come across any water in the tanks and we clean the drops after every delivery to ensure nothing but clean gas goes in the tanks. I am getting 2 to 4 deliveries a day. (One tanker holds 9,000 gallons) I have a lot of exotic cars and high performance cars that come through the station every day and most say they will only use our gasoline now.
We also put the additive in the regular gas...not just the premium like most do.

I use to buy only shell gasoline but I know use only costco gas and my truck runs better and am actually getting 1 1/2 MPG better then before.

It's not just about the price...it's a great quality fuel. The only thing that would be better is if you can still find methanol free fuel. There is no stations here that sell it in this part of Texas. I've checked.

Yep, recommended but definitely not required like a KIA . A fuel system cleaner/additive will work also if the top tier stuff isn't available in your area. The top tier stuff around here is plentiful. BP here also has ethanol free in their premium grade of 91, I try to use that in the bike if at all possible as well as winter fill for the mowers, tiller, snow blower etc. Ethanol will draw moisture.
