Oil usage
#2
#3
Start with finding a trustworthy, and reliable mechanic...
Not being an ***, but if you aren't sure where to start, how will you know what to do once you find something that needs to be done?
Oil consumption can be caused by many reasons.
Just to name a few...
Worn rings/valve guides/cylinders
Bad crankcase ventilation
Leaky case/oil tank or pan
Loose fittings, bad oil pressure sending unit, or bad/loose oil lines
Most of those will give some clue, such as smoke (what color smoke matters also), oil dripping/spot on floor, oil spewing on pant leg, air filter sopping wet from blow by (which in itself can cause excessive oil consumption), etc...
"Using oil" doesn't give us much to guess on...

burning oil causes white smoke.
smoke on accel is bad piston to cylinder seal- rings, worn bore - like that.
smoke on decel is valve guides/ seals- top end
oil pushed into primary is bad seal or cracked cases..or case pressure from blocked up breather..or breather timing incorrect
( so check and see if the primary is full of oil).
throw a piece of cardboard under the parked bike to check for leaks
average consumption might be a quart every 3000 or 5000 miles
