I have been looking for a good condition 09 with ABS and am having trouble finding one. I went after this year assuming it would be within my budget but there are very few to be found.

Past my budget reasons - was there something particularly good about this year that makes people hold onto them?

there are plenty of ads. you'll want to find one close- don't buy long distance.

09 was first year for the new frame, 96" although the 103 was an option.
FLTR's are just built in less quantity than the batwing models- not as numerous, but not rare.

There should be more of them out there with the 15's out now. I bought mine, before the new ones came out and it was slim pickings to say the least...

 

Which is a better deal?

Go to CL, click on the motorcycle tab and in the search type Road Glide. You will have to filter through but may come up with something, especially if you select all sellers including dealers.

 

Bought a bike but it was neither if the two I was originally considering.

Came across a 2011 road glide custom with 103 and 3k miles in Sedona Orange and just the right extras at just the right price.

As soon as I saw it I knew it was the bike I was looking for. Thx for all your input
