Thanks guys for all the imput. I'm not sure which way I'll jump yet. Wouldn't it be nice if our dealers or Harley had a try befor you by with their exhaust slip ons. Would shoot a big hole in the after market exhaust market and we could make an imformed decision the first time. Oh well! Randy.

I have a 05 EG Classic. I just put on the V&H slip-on ovals. Great sound. A bit loud going up hill. Don't use ear plugs. Can hear the radio at highway speed. I wear a 1/2 Seer lid.

I must have the quietest set of SE Performance slip-ons in the world. I don't hear them at highway speed and they only bark when you get on them. Even then they aren't harsh. I am completly content with the SEs. Some days I wish they were a tad louder.

My friend runs V&H Longshot HS's on his Deluxe. Now those are loud, and unpleasant to ride next to all day.

I have the SE slips on my 05 FLHT - - I love setting off car alarms and pissing off old people, and blasting cell phone toting drivers...so at least they hear me - -if I went back to stock - -they'd have two excuses- didn't see or hear me......I've concluded that living and working in the Washington DC area, loud pipes do save lives!

Decker, did you do anything else to the bike at the time you changed out the mufflers? I would like to change mine also, but not looking to do toooo much right now.
Thanks, Mitch
