well I am one for paying cash for everything (except my house) so thats why i am waiting. otherwise id be riding now. unfortunately i do not have a motorcycle license so i can not rent. I just never got around to getting one. I have had 3 street bikes and just didnt ever get even my temps. my goal is august so i should have plenty of time. I have been visiting this forum for about a year and have written alot down for when i go to buy. Thanks for all the info.

Waiting for the '08 is a good idea. But it will be hard this summer watching all the bikes riding around and having to wait. In the meantime, if it is viable to you, rent a few bikes you are interested in, they wont be exactly the same as the '08 you want, but you may be able to nail down the model you want.

New model designs and changes are done by June. Factory in York closes down to retool in July. August new model is shipped to dealer. If you push the dealer they have publications on new model's in June.
