I prefer the sg batwing fairing over the roadglide fairing also the black motor. I think the bars on the sg would be a must but the I need to change cables . Not that big a deal ,can do myself but still more to do. Overall it seems like the sg is a better tourer with more protection an less vib. I love the rubber mount shake and the radio is pretty cool. Still a cool bike to cruise on to ? For the short time ridding each bike it seems like the sg handles better than the heritage through turns and slow speeds. Still , the heritage is classic and i dont see as many around here on the road. I like riding somthing a little different. The reduced floorboard clearance on the heritage could also be a problem? Once you have a heritage with a windshield does it ever come of anyway?

I have a black pearl street glide...love the color, you have to see it in the sun to really get a feel for it. I went from a Dyna to the Street Glide, not looking to go back ever!

Ride both. Try to ride with the wind coming at you from all directions........meaning, go north, south, east, and west at highway speeds, find some turns to try out and then make a decision.

Or pick the thing that you hate the most when riding and see how each bike handles this thorn.

That's what I did and it cost me big time.

PS....leave the wife at home, or you will come home on the SG for sure.

 

You need to be honest with yourself and definethe type of riding you'll be doing.

98 Heritage to 07 SG. Love my Heritage and still have it but the Glide gets my vote. The ride is awesome and you have a sea of choices on how to add your own personal touch.

 

My friend has the Heritage. Very nice bike, but wouldn't trade it for my Street glide!!
