Streetglide Handlebars
I am thinking about possibly changing the handlebars on my '06 Streetglide. I know the fairing will make my options very limited. I want to bring my hands closer together. Always rode Sportsters with drag bars, and after a year in the saddle of my FLHX I am still not completely comfortable with how wide apart my hands are. Anyone have any suggestions, even if to help with getting used to the stock bars?
Thanks for any help,

RE: Streetglide Handlebars
There are Bars out there that are taller and bars out there that have more pullback so your arms don't have to reach as much. There are no bars that I know of that bring your hands closer together.
The Bars for any Harley with a Batwing fairing all need to be 14" or so wide where they bolt to the triple clamp. This is so they can clear the access holes of the inner fairing.
You could try to fabricate or get someone to fabricate you a set of bars that would put your hands closer together, but I'm almost 100% sure that the leverge required to turn them would be increased.
Your other bet, it to go with a Road King or a road Glide, they will provide you with more options on bars...
