Default 2015 Harley Limited Oil Cooler

I did a search, but came up empty.

I have ordered a 2015 Limited and am trading my 2011 Ultra in. Does anyone know if the limited has an oil cooler? I found an article online that said it had an internal oil cooler. I can't find any info on if this is true or where the cooler is. Is it cooled by the water? My understanding is just the heads are water cooled.

My dealer "thinks" it does have an internal oil cooler, but doesn't know much about it. Just now thought about asking the service tech, they should know.

If it doesn't have a cooler, does anyone have any experience installing one on a 2015 or 2014?

Thanks in advance for any help.

The bikes with the twin cooled motor do not have an oil cooler. The water pump and thermostat are mounted where the oil cooler is on the air cooled bikes.

The Water Cooled is much more effective than the oil cooler. My 10 Limited would run much hotter than my 14. The 14 runs around 244 head temp and 210 on engine temp going down road. When you stop or slow down it actually gets cooler. It runs 217 to 235 head and 190 to 205 engine temp in town. You can let it idle indefinitely and won't heat up. The 10 would run over 300 in stop and go and around 250 at 60mph and that was engine temp on the Power Vision. I monitor my temps with the PV mounted and do lot of data recording. I was very surprised at temps. The hottest I have seen the water temp was 180. Has never leaked a drop I am aware of. All these temps were in 90+ weather. When stopped the exhaust is still hot, but nothing like the 10. It still has the internal oil sprayers under the pistons to cool them maybe what you are reading about. No internal cooler.

You might check. I hear they don't come with kick starters anymore either. Don't know what the hell they were thinking!! Next thing you know they'll start selling them without handlebars!!

Very good reading.
I got my bike from that dealership your posing in front of but I must say you take a better picture than me!
I got my Road King on an impulse buy...best impulse I had this year!

I must say I was shocked that Monroe had a "rush" hour as I came into town around 8am going east on I-20...dead stop at W. Monroe, I got off an ate and 20 min later pretty much clear.

Great riding once you get off the interstate! Love the back roads...
