07 FLHTC - Wait till engine light goes off and then start bike - engine light comes back on for 4-5 seconds and then goes off. Checked for codes - no codes... Any ideas ???

 

I have had that before. It was when I was trying to start when cold, but didn't start. It kind of misfired and I took my thumb off the started button.
Right after that I had the light as you described. I went in the to see the codes and saw a misfire, cleared it and the light went away too. This was a few years ago with my 2007 Ultra. I think it happened to me twice.

 

there's a historic code present. read the sticky (or your service manual) about diagnostic codes and how to clear them.

 

perhaps it's just your fuel pump initially getting stabilized. My 06 does this periodically. If there's no codes, I wouldn't worry about it.
