Default SE heavy breather question

Was at the gas station yesterday and there was an Ultra 2 aisles over. I noticed the he had an SE heavy breather on it. After looking at it a minute, just looks like the lowers would block the air into it. The guy was in the station and I couldn't wait to ask him how it ran. Any thoughts???

air isn't pushed into the air cleaner- it is pulled through the air cleaner by the motor.

most of the hi flow air cleaners will potentially flow more than the motor could ever demand.

the HB is more a looks thing.

there is an advantage if the air cleaner can grab cool air rather than air heated by the motor- cooler air is more dense, more oxygen.
