IMO how aggressive your riding style should be the determing factor of how much stretch you'll be able to get by with. I've never scraped my 5" stretched bags, I have more issues scraping my fender pulling in/out of driveways & parking lots lol

 

Do you have stock shocks or air ride. I'm thinking I might need to get air ride so I'll be able to cut down on the scraping.

What suspension Do you have and do you recommend it.

 

I can't really give you much advice/info on suspension. I went the budget route with Monroe rears and only other change was converted the mismatched forks to both damper style. (mine is 05 & came out with damper/cartridge combo

 

I really like you rear. I’m looking for ideas. Can you give me Information on yours? Brand?
