Default Police bike prettification project

So I finally picked up my 09 FLHP and I"m riding it the 1000 or so miles home. So far I really really like it. I"m getting used to the weight but it's not too bad, even in parking lots.

I do want to "spruce it up" a bit. First things first - WTF to do with the ugly plastic platform in the rear.

Tips, suggestions, and pictures of cool inspirations encouraged.

Take it off. If I remember correctly, your tag is mounted to it so you will need an alternate tag mount. And if you stick with the tractor seat, you need to remount or remove the air tank. Mustang makes a passenger seat that matches your cop seat. Probably not an issue because they have more than likely been replaced but the original tires were not rated for two up riding.

You can take off the equipment rack and make several other changes to make it yours.

Lots of conversions here and you can check out retired police bikes dot com to see a bunch of police bike conversions.

Good luck!

You could keep your eyes open for one of these police tour packs to mount on it if you are going to keep the "police look"...

You can remove the rack fairly easily and move the seats air tank to inside the frame or a saddlebag with easy (assuming you keep it)

Lot of take off parts out there you can use to change the bike on the cheap.
