Howdy,
On my 107 with the screamin eagle AC, I did a external filter.

Default My $60 Setup...thanks Ssitruc

Shout out to Ssitruc !
Thanks for all of your photos and information (on several forums). I used your design and am very happy...
Earlier this year, I purchased a 2017 Ultra Limited. The previous owner set it up with full stage one (dual exhaust, high flow air cleaner, Dynojet Power Vision 4). I've been very happy with it, but noticed droplets of watery oil on the right side casings, under the air cleaner. As I researched, I found a lot of information on catch cans. This is what I ended up going with and it's worked well. I collect a small amount on a long ride...looks like I can empty it every 2000 miles or so...probably 95%+ water and the rest oil.
I've added my photos below, but for the full install information, visit #627 of this thread: Ssitruc's thread

Brass 1/4" x 3/8" x 1/4" brass fitting installed through drilled hole, with grommet...HD high flow breather.

OEM breather hoses were used and a short piece of 1/4" fuel line made up the difference. I know it was over-kill, but I also used hose clips, which I purchased at the local ACE Hardware.

This is the finished look...you can see the 3/8" steel braided black nylon covered hose exited under the right corner of the air cleaner.

Closer look at routing of the hose to the catch can.

This is the final location of the homemade catch can (two-stage pill bottle, bought it from Amazon for $14).

Finished catch can, disassembled.

Finished catch can Assembled (I did paint the brass fitting black)

I thought that stuff looked familiar Glad it works for you... but you might be emptying the can more frequently when the weather cools off in Kansas (more condensation collected in the catch can in cooler weather). I know I had to from the fall to spring and I'm just a little south of you.
FYI, last summer I bought a new bike, and on the M8 I put the Trask transmission cover on it (with the crankcase vent in it) and now I don't even run a catch can anymore, because I get nothing out of the head's breather bolts. So I just ran that hose "to ground", and have yet to have a single drip out of it.

Much easier version, no backplate drilling, but not necessarily cheaper, is to replace transmission cover with 2024 model.

A catch can adds some back pressure, and I imagine a filter does too when it gets dirty. It's probably not enough back pressure to affect the seals since a lot of people run catch cans and filters, but I decided to run the hose open to the ground for that reason.
