Agreed - I've had both Sporty & TC Softail with catchcans. The somewhat out of sight location I chose
made them a pain to empty so I just run the hoses below the frames now.
Here's the Sporty
TwinCam Softail

If you look at the picture of the inside of the lid, you can see that you have to do a small alteration on the flow tube. I used a small drill bit to cut an opening in it and then I drilled 3 or 4 tiny holes in the middle section of the lid.
In the end, it took about 5 minutes of alterations.
It works great and will be what I use on everything moving forward.

I thought about drilling and tapping but there isn't a lot of room on that particular S&S back plate. I also have a screamin eagle stage one back plate but really love the look of my "Hot Rod" style air cleaner cover on the stealth...
Those stock bolts have the nipples on the end of them and they fit perfectly on this back plate. I figured the bolt would essentially plug the little hole that leads to the chamber (I could also wrap thread tape around the bolt) and the stock nipple would just direct it out to the 7/32 tubes I'll be installing. Not only that but I've never drilled and tapped things like this before...Only the ladies...hahaha!

Just performed this mod to my Stealth air cleaner...... thanks for the info on the breather bolts!
