Yes, unfortunately, very rarely is everything working properly...TC's that don't spit Any oil are few and far between.....but like you said, keeping the crankcase gases out of the intake is important.

Here's a NEW External Breather System (EBS) unlike most others.

The Stealth External Breather System, is available in Chrome or Black, & is quite a different look, can blend in, being inconspicuous, and works really well.

I did not leave enough of a vent. As a result I pressurized the system and oil blew out of the rocker boxes. Spent the last 2 hours putting in new upper and lower rocker box gaskets.

I'm venting to atmosphere again.

Ouch Olsen...
I like your hose vent route and will use something similar if my filter creates a mess.

Two questions for others with bypassed vents.

I catch a whif of spent exhaust gas when sitting at a light for a bit. I still have the cats in my pipes so my exhaust doesn't normally put out any exhaust smell.

Am I getting the whif from vented gas pushing thru my filter?

Also, I have slip ons and an open breather, XIED's and a stage one download. Has the bypass vent made enough of a change to affect this. Not really wanting to add a tuner but am considering a change if needed.

You are smelling the gas coming out of the filter or catch can holes. I just added a little more material in my catch can and do not smell it anymore at all. The filter/can will not affect your tune

Catch-Can with vents.

If you're smelling anything from your catch-can or EBS filter and don't like it, route it toward the back of the bike...doubtful you will smell it anymore.

Photo below-look below the exhaust, near the rear axle, you will see an EBS filter there.

The smell is not offensive, it reminds me of my old dyna. Just wondered if it was related to the breather bypass.
I only smell it while sitting at a traffic light and only occasionally.
