first of all ,if everything is working properly, no oil should be spewing out at all......just crank case gases. I think the point we can all agree on no one wants unfiltered crank gases in our motors...how we accomplish it is varied and actually quite interesting, as well as ingenious.
Yes, unfortunately, very rarely is everything working properly...TC's that don't spit Any oil are few and far between.....but like you said, keeping the crankcase gases out of the intake is important.
Here's a NEW External Breather System (EBS) unlike most others.
The Stealth External Breather System, is available in Chrome or Black, & is quite a different look, can blend in, being inconspicuous, and works really well.

I'm venting to atmosphere again.

Ouch Olsen...
I like your hose vent route and will use something similar if my filter creates a mess.
Two questions for others with bypassed vents.
I catch a whif of spent exhaust gas when sitting at a light for a bit. I still have the cats in my pipes so my exhaust doesn't normally put out any exhaust smell.
Am I getting the whif from vented gas pushing thru my filter?
Also, I have slip ons and an open breather, XIED's and a stage one download. Has the bypass vent made enough of a change to affect this. Not really wanting to add a tuner but am considering a change if needed.
