Wrap it in electrical tape where you plan to cut, hold in vice with soft jaws and cut with a dremel or similar high speed cut off disc. Clean out line with compressed air.

s/s braided toilet line should work nicely....comes in a variety of length's

Use painters tape or masking tape....electrical tape can leave an unwanted residue on the hose.

Thanks to Head and post #251 for the pics and write up. I did mine today, had most of the parts knocking around and only had to buy the filter.
