update.. went run the bike for about 15 minutes after completely warming up. took another video but since there was no change in the condition of the top of the pistons, I won't clutter the forum with the video.

Moral of the story. This may appear to work fine but probably requires more patience than I was willing to put into it. I would think if you could roll both pistons to where they're at least an 1" or so down in the cylinder, then spray or pour in enough ATF through the spark plug holes to fully cover the pistons and let it soak for 24 hours or so, this will probably work fine. Keep in mind that my pistons weren't in bad shape to begin with having very little oil fed back into the TB after my build because I vented the breathers out. If you haven't vented your breathers out, I'm relatively certain you'll have a ton more crap sitting atop your pistons than I did. This is what mine looked like at build with 13k on the clock:

BEFORE cleaning

AFTER cleaning

Is there any good aftermarket AC setup with breathers that vent out to the atmosphere without making a mess on the bike?

Thanks Ultra! Did you ever add LED's inside your fairing to illuminate that etching on your windshield?

no sir.. I wanted subtle although I agree it would probably look pretty badd-azz lit up.. Long Ride Shields did a fabulous job on it.

I scoured the aftermarket world, even considered a complete setup from the good people at DK and it wasn't aesthetic enough for me, as well as would run me $200+. So, just like changing lifters and adjusting push-rods I self taught myself how to tap a hose barb on the breather brace (see my pics).
I did a 200+ mile run today and my by-pass worked flawlessly with a normal amount of oil BB dripping from the end of my atmosphere hose. What I found interesting is there was very little BB vented to the hose cruising 70 MPG and under. It wasn't till I came back the super-slab route running in excess of 85+ was there BB venting down the hose, which collaborates everything I've read.
The hose barb by-pass route is my preferred method of breather venting and will do the same should my wife ever let me stage 1 her FXDC.

If you have a twin cam and you have NOT experienced this then you must not ride your bike over 100 miles at a time. Gooping from the air cleaner is a prevalent post. Guess what? It's not from excessive blow by. It is an Harley MOCO mistake. I did the same thing as this guy...Blowby to the ground ...or blow by all over the side of your engine....Your choice?

not too sure I'd call it a MOCO mistake but nonetheless it's their (MOCO) half-assed answer to EPA guidelines by venting oil back into the throttle bodies of these twinkies.

I've read these blow-by fix threads for years now. I admit that I keep planning on doing it, if for no other reason than it's a cool mod. I haven't done it because I don't think that my bike has a need for it. My reasoning is that I never have to add oil between oil changes, my a/c cover never has any oil residue in it, and I never ever get any oil residue on the eng. case under the a/c. When I pull the spark plugs they both have the nice tan color with no trace of oil/carbon on them.

Am I missing something here?
