Finally did my breather bypass (pics included)

Finally got sick of messing around with the catch-can that was making a mess even after adding the tube inside. My breather mod rev 2.0 is complete
I decided to use a chromed copper tube from the hardware store. I soldered a tab that is used to mount to the tappet cover. I put a 90 degree bend in the tube and have it running between the engine and the frame with a K&N breather filter sitting in the void between the engine and the transmission.
Dry fitting everything and getting the tube bent correctly.
Copper mounting tab tinned and soldered in place.
Filter placement under the engine
The finished product

So, why are you still getting oil in your throttle body? Some may be leaking past the plugs that you used. Or your filter element is over oiled? Those are the only two sources I can see oil coming from to get into your TB.

Thanks, I think this is going to work out a bit better. It was pretty fun getting the tube bent the way I needed and still being able to get it put back into place . My hope is that the soldered tab holds in place. Stripping the tube and tab to copper and tinning everything before putting it all together I think it should hold. I'm hoping to find a day in the next week or 2 where I can take the bike for a few hundred mile ride to test it out.

I use the catch can and after 500 miles I have only about three drops of residue in the bottom of the can. Maybe DK is right about the over oiling of the filter. First time I oiled my K&N Filter it started dripping a few days later. I didn't realize how much oil to use. The catch can really works well for me so if I were you I would try to figure out where the oil is coming from. I guess you could run it for a few hundred miles and check the throttle body again. If there is still oil in the throttle body you'll know it is coming from either the bolts or the filter oil.

Hi guys;
I have no clue to have oil in my throttle body after been done the engine breather by pass.
The breather holes were both sealed with set screws and Locktite.
This is a take-off throttle body that was ported before installation, so it was totally cleaned, cero oil residue.
Your opinion and inputs are welcome.....I just have no clue....

Do you run a washable/oil air filter? That red color looks like the air filter oil I use. Just dab the filter off real good after washing and oiling it.
