==================================

Well yes but no and here's why.

What happens is the heavier oil in blowby-crankcase gases like when the motors cold before it warms up or when riding in off season cold temps should run back down into the crankcase like you said .

But when the motors up to full op temp /esp in hotter summer temps there more oil thats in a fine mist mixed in with blowby gases from crankcase that dont run back into the motor and are airborn thar are much more easily sucked into the motor which is why i gave you the yes no answer.

^^Makes sense, I forgot about this kury rocker breather that came off my sons 06 kury A/C. this went up to the top of the rockers and its been off for 2 years I see no oil residue in it. I looked it up on there web site and see they still sale the parts and I take it this works ? I like the idea of not seeing the hose run down it just doesn't look right or very good to me.

you can't even see my vent hose unless you're looking for it. It's all about the installation.

UltraNutZ from your dropbox picture it looks like the oil comes out of your little breather, and your right I had to look hard to find your install. I wont be so lucky with a silver motor though that's why I was curious if running it up like the kury setup is, to hide it under the tank would be bad or ok with the oil running back into the head is my question now

Nutz, Could you please post a link to pictures of your vent setup here? You may have in a earlier post, its aggravating trying to find it. Merry Christmas!

What concerns me with the venting systems that do not drain out and down is blockage. If the white crusty (oil and moisture mix) dries and becomes clogged in that line then you're now building more pressure internally to the top end and could easily wind up with failed/blown head gasket. I guess one could argue that the blockage could easily occur on an "out and down" installation as well but the likelihood of that is much smaller than pointing it upwards IMO. I tend to err towards the side of caution.

That's what I think, gravity needs to allow drainage of BB away from the top of the jugs. So, yes concealment is idea but I'm more concerned with drainage and keeping it away from my TB. Routing it for concealment requires defying gravity and I personally wont compromise form and fit for function. Don't get me wrong, you guys have an awesome design.

also let me say this based on your sig pic. You should be able to find a small enough cylinder type filter somewhere that you could easily attach to the back side of the backplate and hide the entire setup other than seeing 2 hoses coming off your breather bolts.

Crude drawing but you get the point.
