Personaly love the ride of the road king custom. While it doesnt have front faring for me the wind is just part of what i love about riding.Plus the susspenions great, but not as top heavy gives me good handling when I want to play.As for those making coment about gold wing things thought thats was punishment for those not on a harley

Between touring and softail... if you aren't going to go over 50 mph keepin it in the city limits... softails with the balanced engine are pretty smooth. Takin it on the open road to spend quality time... touring definately. The smoothest will probably be the one you leave stock. Aftermarket pipes etc, its been my experience, will tend to put just a tad bit harsher vibration at lower speeds into the ride.
I have to agree, I have an Ultra and the wife has a Softail Deuce, the Deuce with the counterbalanced motor is much smoother at idle, but the Ulta is a dream come true on a long ride. I guess which is better depends on what you are going to do (and how much stuff you want to take with you).

If the Q is riding and not running, that's why the "touring" models exist. After riding EG's and RK's, I ordered an RG. Smoothest in crosswinds.

[sm=noooo.gif]Street Glides are the smoothest cause they don't have all that extra weight in the back (tourpack)...[sm=sorry.gif] You'll just have to [sm=trust_me.gif]on this one guys.

Peace,

Got to agree with this one. It's the frame mounted fairing and the black/chrome contrast that gives this HD the smoothest ride.
