Check to see if tire is rubbing your belt guard/belt rubbing your belt guard. Or maybe brake disc miss aligned & rubbing brake pads

Putting in a final drive gear as I read this post in my 08 Road Glide. Sounded just like a tire on a truck in all gears. If you have a motor cycle jack, jack the bike up and start it and put it in say 4th gear and run it up to about 70mph be careful and make sure the jack can't fall or the rear tire can not hit the floor or things can go real bad in a hurry. Pull in clutch and hit the kill switch and listen right at the derby cover. It is a pie job removing the trans just need a few special tools that are really costly. I do a lot of machine work at my job and made the tools to do the job some do not have that option and must buy them. You can buy them from George's garage for around $400. The bearing that is bad is part #8967 that is on the shaft the front pulley is mounted to which is one of the 2 gears it takes to make up 6th gear. Don't know how much this job is at the dealer or at a Indy but it is more than I am willing to pay. Like I said it is so easy a cave man can do it if you have the tools.

I'm gonna do all that is suggested to find out what this is. I'll get back to this thread as soon as I figure it out. I'm gonna start with looking at the belt tension(drive belt) then the primary chain tension(I have a Hayden) we'll see. thanks for the help gentleman....... ride safe.
