Default Anybody try these for your seat?

I've noticed that as little as my wife rides with me (she enjoys it, but we both travel a lot), I'm getting a mark on my rear fender from the stock seat. In looking at a CVO SG, I noticed these chrome and rubber pieces on the rear fender and wondered if they really prevented that... or if possibly a leather fender bib left on under the stock seat would work.

When she doesn't ride, I use a solo so this mark really bothers me.

I get the same thing. I now put a microfibre towel between passenger seat and fender when i put passenger seat on. Seems to keep rub marks out of paint. I have a black bike so every little swirl shows up big time. When i bought my cvo seat it came with those chrome stick ons but i didnt want to use them because i think big black fender looks great without.
Hope this helps.

I put those on my FLHP under the Mustang passenger pillion to avoid those rub marks. Here is the part number - HD P/N 11100024:

They were about $30 each (x2) from the dealer. I had to position them differently than the CVOs do to clear the rubber pads on the bottom of the pillion. So far they have worked great.

I've always had a fender bib on mine when I got my solo seat. This was a few weeks after I bought the King. No marks here, as I switch out the seats often when my wife rides with me.

Awesome. Thanks, guys.

@RKZen, do you leave your bib on even when the 2-up seat is on? My wife has only been on my bike about 6-8 times and not for more than 50 miles at a time, so it didn't take long to get the mark.

I leave the fender bib on all the time, except when I wash the bike as I also clean the area under the seat. It goes right back on afterwards. I have a C&C solo seat, so the bib goes on first, then the C&C seat bracket.

If you're gonna leave the bib on under the 2-up seat, I would suggest using an extra washer to go on between the bib and the rear seat mount before screwing down. That washer will make the indentation into the bib and not the big ugly 2-up seat mount piece. Looks better when you put the solo seat back on as the rear fender screw will hide that indentation.

I just picked up a fender bib and it doesn't cover the mark. Hmmm.
The strip things might be the answer. Thanks!

Use the invisible bra material from 3M and cut to size. Even if you have swirl marks and light scratching in the clear coat it will make them disappear.
