there is a website for retired cop bikes...

if you get a gently used one they can be a value and a blank canvas.

Congratulations and welcome. I love that color.

If you don't mind me asking, how many miles were on it and what did you pay for it? I have a buddy who's looking for a bike of about that age or a little bit older and I thought a Cop bike might be a great option for him.

Congratulations on your new ride. I've put many a mile on a FLHRPI. Even bought a couple from my department before they started leasing them from Harley.. Those air ride saddles are the most comfortable seat I've ever used.

Enjoy and RideSafe!

It took a LOT of hunting but I got it with 36k miles for 9.3k.

There was a non-cop 09 for 9k, but with 48k miles. I liked the bigger engine and oil cooler more than I liked cruise control and the cop bike was closer so less for shipping and I hear the seat is good so... to me they were about equivalent.

That said, those were the only 2 I saw in the 9k range at all. Most are 10k. If you are willing to bump to 12k you can get 2012 models even. so really if you hvae 10-11k you have a LOT of options. Below that, be prepared to wait and jump on it.
