Open you Garage Door w/your phone
#23
Much ado about nothing...I just attached a standard wireless remote to the inside of my fairing with Velcro...get home, no need to fish for anything, just push the button, end of story. We are getting so enamored with technology that we've forgotten that the job hasn't changed, and there's no need for additional technology.
Seems like several on this forum are overthinking the simple task of opening a garage door. All you need is an extra opener, velcro, and your done. Push the button and go riding.

Simple is the best way. That's why the remote lives in the windshield bag.
I replaced my old door opener because it would take me ten minutes to get the door closed when I'm just trying to get out and ride. That's at least ten less miles I can get to ride.
For the price I couldn't beat the Chamberlain. It came with 2 remotes, outside key pad, and the device that lets you use your phone. One remote for the Electra, one for the Softail. Use the phone when in the car, truck, or work van. Save money on the remotes for all the 4 wheeled vehicles. I can also keep tabs to make sure the OL didn't leave the door up when she leaves. Ha ha ha.
