3Grand 2 spend on hp upgrade
I'll be sort ..just got tax money back and would like openion on what would be best choices...Have talked to Doug at HQ,Reggie at R&R,Wes at Cyclerama and all say they have the best for that ammount with Cyclerama being slightly higher.I know GMR has a 98 kit,so does HQ and evryone else.Have a 06 street glide stage 1 with Rinehart duals ,SERT,SE AC .Ready to take the next step just lookin for more advice before I spend the money.Would like to keep what I have and add to it to make a reliable, powerful daily ride...what do you all think...Thanks.....I've asked before did'nt get too many resonses..thought I'd try again.

All three of those shops are top notch. The 98" kits are a good product, and they're several hundred dollars more expensive. I'm sure the shops you spoke with are offering a kit that goes something like this:
bore stock cylinders
street port or economy port heads
95" flattop pistons
bolt-in cam like Head-quarters 34, andrews 26, wood 6
Of course you'll need to find a good sert tuner after the build. Some may like higher compression, bigger valves and springs, and bigger cams. These more expensive kits do produce more horsepower at high rpm. But for a bagger like you've got, most riders are happier withthe economy kit with its low and midrange torque.

I guess its up to you, as to reliability, you already have that, bust into the motor and that could go out the window depending on how good the guy is doing the work. If I wanted more kick and garanteed relibility I would take it to the dealer get the SE95" kit and a good set of low to mid range cams, bet it wouldnt cost 3k and be exactly what you are looking for.

I have to agree with gunrunner Ihave exactly what he described in my bike and I added a few other goodies as you can see and its all there. Unless you wanted to get crazy and just step on up to a 103" well that is another story. Do you still have an extended warranty on your bagger ? This may affect your coverage because it was not done at time of purchase.
