Pic request - saddlebag charging port - where did you mount it?

OK, here we go.
First, I believe that as directed, for the connector to the tender, you are essentially creating an "outlet" inside the bag where you plug the wire in.
This is odd to me because even if you install the port near the front of the bag, you would need a very long battery tender wire to reach it.
So, I only drilled the 2 mounting holes, and I'm running the wire over the top of the bag like Bikerlaw did, I dont think the wire will fray.
My tender cable has just enough length to peek out behind the bottom left corner of the left side cover. I ran the tender cable behind the frame and zip tied it near the base of the saddlebag support rail. Once the bag is on, you really cannot see the connector at all.
Some pics below. The zip tie you see in the last picture on the saddlebag support rail is for my accent lights, it was there before this install
