Well my bike arrived home from Fuel Moto last Thursday, I'll save that for a separate post. Needless to say I'm very excited to have accomplished a dream of getting a Fuel Moto 107 installed and tuned by FM. It's pretty awesome.
The new bags arrived the week before the bike and I installed them Friday afternoon. These are the 14+ CVO style bags from AdvanBlack. As many of you can tell, the paint isn't a good match--so although I'm happy with quality of finish, it's just too light.
I reached out to AdvanBlack on Friday and expect to hear back shortly, as I'm gonna give them a mulligan on the first pass. So many of you have had great experiences with getting the paint matched, I'm fairly patient and look forward to seeing them make it right. In the meantime, I've got a brand new 2009 Street Glide fender to install, that factory painted Red Hot Sunglo matches my bike very well!
I chose the '09 SG fender as it retains the big taillight but has the license plate down low--plus I got it on eBay for a very good deal. Not sure if I'm going all LED out back, but I've got a vision.
2009 Street Glide @ss is on...plugged right in and everything works great! The paint match is perfect, as expected since the Moco painted that fender 11 years ago.
Painted bags were too light and are going to be replaced.
