The 100 year thing makes absolutely no difference...Do what you want to it and ride the heck out of it...As far as seats, I would call C&C. They make nice seats and can fit it it you...

I disagree some people really go for the 100 yr bikes, especially the blue ones. I rode my 03' FXSTi for 1 1/2 years and 7000 miles and sold it for $900 more than I paid for it to a guy specifically looking for one.

Looking good man. I got mine out today for the first time this year but didn't get any pics because I only had about an hour or so to ride.

Thank you! How are those apes? A friend of mine just got apes on his FLSTC and loves them, but the geometry between our bikes is different. They look bad ***, but I wonder about having to hold my arms up for longer rides.

I have it...complete opposite...u don't hold your arms up...it's kind of a more relaxed position....and on my shovel, the vibration through the bars decreased phenomenally ,but keep in mind your seat height and your arm length..if your reaching, your not gonna be comfortable.....with 20" apes on my shovel with a standard 2 up seat my hands are just at or above my ear lobes...same setup on my roadking with police air ride seat my hands are just about shoulder height....but with the seating position on each bike they are both comfortable...I had a lot of trial and error matching the right applications.....seat height, riser height, and then a possible move of your feet position...

I love them and for me they let me ride longer. Like HD72 said you are not holding your arms up at all more of the bars are holding your arms up, really helped my lower back too. I was skeptical too and road to road kings back to back at the dealer with only difference being 18" apes vs stock bars and I couldn't believe how much more comfortable I was with apes.
