That short shield will indeed beat you to death on the hwy with any speed.I like the stock seat, let me stretch out more than my ultra classic did.I think Im mising my lwr also since temps these past few days have dropped.Mine still has stock speakers and arent that great.Stock exh isnt to my liking.Love the bike .

Yesterday, my boys and I were riding around, and one of my borthers bike started making screeching sounds around the crank area. First I thought it was a valve or lifter, but it was more in the lower end. He said he didnt care because it was under warranty. I thought it was a great thing that he made it another 40 miles before getting home. I think he has only about 20k on a 2006 Ultra. I havent talked with him after. I guess HD makes a good motor what ever year...it got him home. My 07 SG is running just fine with over 800 miles. I dont hear any 5th gear noise, with stock pipes. I hear some valve noise at idle..I want some pipes. Another guy I ride with has over 40k miles, without any problems on his 04 Springer.

Here is my baby! She's about six months old. I'm still in love with her as much today as I was when I almost wrecked my truck looking back at it sitting up on the hill at the dealership.

Figure I'd post another pic since the first one I posted a few months ago was stock. Here she is a few weeks ago after a good cleaning and wax.

And here she is five days later after the four days at East Coast Sturgis.

All of your SG's look great....my 07 SG has arrived @ the dealer... http://www.shenandoahhd.com/default.asp .....

Just waiting on them to PMI the bike, & since it was a holiday week-end, looks like I will have to wait a day or two....
But, in the mean time I will keep checking out the beauties here & gettin' some ideas

Here's mine loaded on morning 2 of a 9day 4300 mile ride to NM......Only had 1600 miles on it before the trip, but I really bonded with it before coming home....It's a good horse, so now I'm starting the mods and chrome ad-ons in reward of a job well done.....Only items done before the trip were SE Stage 1, re-map, Vance and Hines slip-ons.....Lot's more to go.

OK, So I've had mine since June 24th. Still haven't posted pics so here are a few. I sold my restored 1969 Mustang Faskback to buy this bike and I haven't regreted one minute of it.
