Default Healing Field Flags

I got an email this afternoon regarding the healing field flags. PGR needs more sponsers for the flags. So far only 400 or so for the flags. Please pass the word and let's get out for this. To sponser a flag it's $25 and you can pick up the flag at the rally. check out the PGR website for the details. Thanks. Tom Spread the word!!!!!!!! HERE'S HOW TO FIND OUT MORE: GO TO THE PGR WEBSITE. SCROLL DOWN UNTIL YOU HIT THE BIG YELLOW AREA FOR GATHERING OF THE GUARD. YOU CAN THEN CLICK FOR THE GOTG WEBSITE AND FIND OUT ABOUT THE HEALING FIELD. YOU CAN ALSO EMAIL GARY YOCUM (UTAH CAPTAIN) AT SC@PGRUTAH.ORG FOR INFO, ETC.

Here's the info you need. Just click on the link below.

My lady and I are attending the national Gathering of the Patriot Guard in Ogden, Utah, at the end of July. They are going to have a massive flag field, one for each Fallen Hero in the War on Terror. Below please find a link concerning sponsoring a flag for one of our nation's Fallen Heroes. If you click on the link, and then the EXCEL file, you can find the list of soldiers by state. You may have to scroll back and forth to read the whole page.

If you have been on a Patriot Guard mission that touched your heart this is something you can do. Or did you know a soldier that died in The War on Terror?

You can sponsor a flag and they will mail the flag to you after the event for $30.00 (flag and postage). We would like to see all of the service men and women from across America that lost their lives in Iraq or Afghanistan have a flag sponsored. You can pick the name that you would like to sponsor, or let them pick a name for you. They will mail the flag to you after the Gathering of the Guard is over.

You can't imagine the site of thousands of flags flying in the wind unless you have seen it, so here is a picture link from Sturgis 2006, when we had a field of nearly 4,000 flags at the entrance to the Buffalo Chip campground. Sadly, this year the total will approach 5,000.

Step up and honor a soldier. Many people are doing this, and then presenting the flag to the family of the soldier they sponsored.

Well, we got back safe and sound from our trip to the PGR rallye in Utah.. 3367 miles, by way of North Dakota, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, and South Dakota. Averaged almost 43 miles to gallon with our Harley riding two up, fully loaded.
Here are all the links I've made of our trip, including the incredible PGR Field of Honor flag field at Ogden, Utah.
Here's some select pictures from our trip to Roosevelt, Yellowstone, and Grand Tetons National Park.

Here is the PGR rallye at Ogden. The pictures of dog tags and flags are some of the missions that I have attended. I wish I had taken with a list of the Minnesota fallen...I would have taken pictures of them all. It was quite a challenge to find name tags in the field of flags, shaped like the U.S., but most were in the general location of Minnesota in the Field of Honor.

Here are some videos I've made and posted on U-Tube. Too bad much clarity is lost in the transfer. The first is of Old Faithful, and scenes from Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons.

This one is of the PGR bike parade through Ogden.

and this last one is when we stopped on the way home at the Buffalo Chip at Sturgis, for the PGR dedication of their Healing Field of Remembrance.

Thank you to all who sponsored flags. It was very moving to see all flags....5050 of them, including the six from Minnesota we had in the past month.
