My first contact with PGR
A best friend of mine passed away a couple of weeks ago. He was a Viet Nam veteran, and an avid Harley rider.
I don't usually do funerals, but this was a special friend so I rode my Ultra down to California, thinking that his services might involve motorcycles somehow. Sure enough, the PGR got wind of the services for John and they showed up. "John", the leader, organized the procession, lead the posting of colors, and in general conducted the processional from church to cemetery.
Turns out they wanted me with my white Ultra to lead the procession, followed by my friends Sportster, ridden by another close friend, with "John" riding alongside, to create a missing brother formation.
I was glad to see all these bikers, about 25 of them, pay their respects to someone they only knew served our country. I have signed up as a PGR rider myself.

Goodbirds,
Welcome to PGR, make sure you go to your states forum and introduce yourself. Addtionally send your State Captain an email. so that he knows your a new member, and can get you on their states e-mail chain.
My condolences to you and the family of the Vietnam Vet who passed. I'm sure the roads are pot hole free, the sun is shinning, and the wind is always at his back, where he is riding today.
Respects,
Ed
