Default First Patriot Guard Mission Complete

Just went on my first mission yesterday (Friday) to welcome home a young man, Cpl Raymond Hennigerfrom Deptford NJ, who lost both legs and 4 fingers on his left hand. What an experiance to say the least. All total there were about 125 bikers present along withPolice presence to help escort him back home for the first time since his injuries.

To see the towns people standing along the road way as we road into town was awe inspiring. Sure did put a lump in my throat.

Glad I was able to do a small part in bringing this Marine back home to his family.

I have yet to go on a welcome home or a funeral mission. My wife and I joined bout a month and a half ago. We did attend a 9-11 memorial ride in Dothan Alabama the other day and it put a lump in our throats. The Marines and the Army were both represented there along with many municipal resucue ,fire and police members. Even though I never personally served in the Military my father retired in the Army.
I still find it hard to swallow when I hear there are actually people who would have the audacity to protest at our service men and womens funeral.
Even though I hope I never have to attend a funeral If one happens within my range of ability it will be with great honor and respect that I attend and I am sure with big BIG lumps in the throat.
I am located right outside Ft. Rucker Alabama and grew up around the Military and I have never recieved such respect from individuals as I have from Military personnel. They are indeed America's finest representatives

Guarding our freedoms! God bless our Military

Thanks for attending the mission. You'll meet the best riders in America standing in the flag line.

Yea, I have to say this had a happy ending to it. Although, having lost both legs and 4 fingers, this young marine was in good spirits. Not sure how I will handle the other side of the coin when it comes around. Just hope it doesn't happen.
