Wait until Obama gets re-elected and puts out his REAL agenda....they'll be checking your underwear for the DOT sticker.

Yep. There are good cops and bad cops. Competent ones and inept ones. Well meaning ones and nasty ones.

Just a sampling of an article I found.....
http://www.cyrilhuzeblog.com/2009/09...t-helmet-laws/
The responses are lenghty but worth reading.

DOT can not approve helmets. Therefore no helmets are approved by DOT.
NTSB......laws require motorcyclists to wear helmets compliant with the federal motorcycle helmet performance standard, FMVSS 218.

South Dakota.....not wearing eye protection will get you stopped...as will HIGH ape hangers...otherwise, ride free, bro.

You gotta move WEST if you want any sembelance of freedom, guys.

The east coast is infected with cockroaches and liberals...which by the way are related.

Here! Here! There are a lot more a-holes texting while driving than there are nonDOT helmets.

I talked to an LEO that told me he had more DUI arrests because of burnt out license plate lights than anything. If you are going to wear a non DOT in helmet state I would stay out of the bars when riding.

Here in CA the chips stoped pulling people over for non DOT.
Why, because when they do, ask them to send a Helmet specialist out to check the helmet, they said it's to time consuming, so now they don't bother....
Most of the time I wear my FF, sometimes a quick ride in town, I wear the non DOT beanie....

Will I need more padding in the crotch area more than the tube sock I keep there?
