The idiocy of liberals knows absolutely no limits folks. Hold on cuz you've got 100% communist occupation of the US Government for at least the next 2 years. You ain't seen nothin yet. Next is guns, outrageous taxes, etc etc etc.
You asked for change, now you're gonna have it shoved in DEEP.

Wow you RUB Posers. You don't slip your bike the tongue you just are not a real biker.
Seriously that is just about the dumbest bill I have seen. Can't wait for it to get to Canada. Both my kids will go balistic as they both rode when they were 6.
The under 14 age limit is just about as stupid but unfortunately we had a kid die from falling off the back of a bike. I was looking for the article but can't find it.
I rode when I was a kid and on the back of my Grandfathers bike and the only time I ever thought about the tongue thing was when the stupid dog got me. Never did want to lick a bike or any part thereof. I do believe in that Darwin selection thing big time. I think you are somewhat excempt if you are in high up government though.

so i wonder what dumbass yuppie kid ate the battery and died which ended up in a multi-million dollar lawsuit and this law... I started on an 80 when I was 7 years old. Just as they said, killing the mini-bikes will hurt all motorcycle sales. The US is getting ridiculous with all the don't spank your kids and this "emo" BS... we're in trouble...

This is F#*n ridiculous,I can see the sh*t with the toys, but atv and mini or dirt bikes WTF.We wouldn't have any problems if the corporate money hungry A#*holes would keep the manufacturing jobs in this country instead of sending em out to China or any place else.Keep the manufacturing jobs here, keep an eye on the corporations and we wouldn't need a bailout.

It was just another way to get in and accomplish the end goal, elimination of motorcycles and other recreational vehicles. Face it, there's way too many professional politicians wanting you to have it their way. Many people ask me every day, why am I running for my local congressional vacancy? To get someone from the real world in DC for a change! The state level needs normal, everyday people too. None of us will change things griping about them.

Thank you for contacting me about the Consumer Product Safety Improvements Act. I appreciate knowing of your concerns.
Last July, the President signed into law H.R. 4040, the Consumer Product Safety Improvements Act, to address the safety of children's products sold in the United States. One provision required the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to adopt the voluntary ATV safety standard as a mandatory standard. The CPSC would also be required to consider strengthening additional ATV safety standards.
Unfortunately, the CPSC's implementation of the law has not gone smoothly. I was pleased that the CPSC released a statement on January 29 delaying any new testing and certification requirements for one year while they reorganize their enforcement policies. You can read the CPSC's statement at http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml09/09120.html, and you can find the latest CSPC guidance at http://www.cpsc.gov/about/cpsia/smbus/cpsiasbguide.html I will continue to seek a balanced solution that both ensures the safety of our children and allows small businesses in Vermont to remain competitive.
Thank you again for contacting me. Please keep in touch.
