Cool The 'ol King will still "run"...

Made a surprise visit to my ol' buddy Hubbs on the King. Haven't riden it in forever and wondered if it'd even start.

Start she did, so off I went.

Showed unannounced at Hubbs, and he was up for a ride. Over Blood mountin and into Ellijay. Continued on up and over Fort Mountain. (Almost got tiddy knottin' cool at elevation!) Thought we were gonna get drinched after we started down into Chattsworth... the mountain had hidden some angry lookin' clouds.

Busted back down 411 then 53 back across to Jasper. "Outran" the rain, and got home dry.

The ol' King doesn't have the nice "cushy" ride of the Roady, nor does it brake nearly as well... but that little 95" sure still has the "thump" when ya twist it!

Good times!

Y'all get out there and RIDE!

Depends on how many times you stop. 3-4 hours with minimal stops.

Of coarse.... it also depends on how much ya twist that throttle.

Some Florida "flat landers" find the twisty upn here to be a bit challengin'. Please be careful when ya come.

Ride safe

Thanks for the HU will proceed with care. Have been skating across the border on 27 up to Columbus and Lagrange and love the route so as we are planning a trip around the state. Savanna - Augusta - Ellijay - Columubus - Valdosta and trying to figure out seat time per day. Can't wait till fall. Any Harley shops that are a must ?? Been to Tifton and they were great.

Cool

While it'd be a little farther north for you...

I highly recommend the Cherohala Skyway between Robbinsville, NC and Tellico Plains Tennessee. 44 miles, very nice ride.

Ride safe

If ya make it up this far dont miss the Cherahala Skyway, then go on in to Maryville Tenn & visit Smokey Mtn HD. Its a old lowes bldg turned into a HD dealership. HUGE! They have concerts every weekend! Let them know your there to party with them & you will get a discount at a nearby motel, & they will even furnish you with a cab ride back & forth from the motel to the party! Food & drinks all right there!
