Met up with Sammich and his brother yesterday in Blue Ridge.

Took 60 into Suches, then turned north on Wolf Pen Gap. Very limited visibility... made for an exciting (albeit slow) assent up.

Somehow they got us into Clayton from there.

Outta Clayton warwoman road was taken into Highlands. Rode 28/64 back down into Franklin (one of my favorites.)

The Sammich "clued me in" on a GEM!

Just west of Franklin, we took Wayah (how the heck ya pronounce it, I dunno) rd, and cut back west on Junaluska rd into Andrews. NO TRAFFIC, and a gorgeous little ride.

How he got us back into Blue Ridge, I dunno.... but man it was purty!

A little on the chilly side at times. Didn't see the sun all day...

Havin' said that... it was an awesome day. Ended back at the undisclosed chalet location, and Sammich's brother whipped up some mean pork and taters. Great guys, and I'm honored they let me tag along.

Just goes to show ya.... Ya can't always judge a days ride by the weather!

Sounds like an awesome day. Glad y'all had a great ride. I haven't been on 28/64 the way you went from Highlands to Franklin. Sounds like an add to my list of wanna do's.

It was great to have you along, Beav. Enjoyed the hell outta myself.

Yesterday was not so much fun. We left Blue Ridge, and didn't even make it to Ellijay before the bottom fell out. We couldn't even see the road in front of us. Decided at that point that turning back was chicken, but wiser than continuing.

Today was a good ride home. Rode outta the clouds about Ellijay, then battled the wind gusts all the way back. I was told there were gusts up to 30 mph, and I believe it! Thanks for the weather help this morning, Beav.

Yep, yesterday.... when ya texted, at first... thought you'z jokin'. Sat there about 45 min, then took the "long way" back home.

Sure enjoyed myself on Friday. That was my kinda day.... too much ridin' to even get pics.

So glad yall had a good ride, even more thankful everybody got back safe. Wish I coulda been there. Circumstances beyond my control.
