Glad you guys got out today for a bit! Didn't know they had a Varsity in Dawsonville, I'll hafta compair it with the downtown joint. They screamin' "Whadaya have?" there too?
Yep, the weather wasn't the greatest south of ya either. Not really drizzlin' but streets / interstate were wet all the way down to / through Atl. Lot's o' traffic also...
Congrats to Harleybelle on her OWN jacket!!!

By the way, Chis and Karen are so fun! You have some really nice friends. I hope to see them again.
Michael, I really liked meeting you and hope you can make it Friday as well. I can't promise the food will be great or anything, but the company will make up for any of my culinary shortcomings!

Mary, glad you enjoyed the chili dogs. I have been eating them for 36 years and nowhere in the world have I found one as good. I love reading on forums when people mention the Varsity they either love it or hate it, funny in person I have never met someone that said it was bad! Try a frosted orange next time to complete your Varsity experience! We's ready for Friday!

Nice write up, Johnny!
FIRST... I didn't even know that Chris and Karen had gotten cut off in the mist... Holy Crap! Glad it turned out OK! Stupid cagers!
What a GREAT DAY we had riding the Misty Mountains! Wish more of the Crew could have made it. but what's a little moisture when you're out having a great time riding with good friends?
Hwy 60 was the usual awesome twisties and general kick-azz-ness! My heart twinged when we passed the Wolf Pen Gap (Hwy 180) cutoff, 'cuz I SO wanted to GO NORTH on it! Was probably a good idea not to though...
The "Stop at the Top" was a relief, frankly... it was not the best day weatherwise, but NGB was actually enjoying the fog and general spookiness of the ride. You'd have to talk with her about that... I was half expecting some dude with no head and a sword on a horse to ride by and take us all out!
All in all, a very enjoyable day, and one of those rides that makes you think about why you ride in the first place. Not the easiest or most comfortable ride - but one that really (and unexpectedly) got to the soul...
Of course, there will be 2 hours of cleaning to do now... but it's all good!

Misty Mountains just sounds like a **** start, just saying
That was my 1st time going up 60 on the bike, I enjoyed it and cannot wait to do it again when dry and hit the Wolf pen, had we done that, we would just now be getting home!!

As long as Johnny doesn't make a weather call I can ride the bike. My son needs the car. Just need to see what my daughter is doing.
