Yep, the weather wasn't the greatest south of ya either. Not really drizzlin' but streets / interstate were wet all the way down to / through Atl. Lot's o' traffic also...

Congrats to Harleybelle on her OWN jacket!!!

The experience of the original downtown cannot be matched anywhere! Most of the employees downtown, well thats been their only place of employment. I still see the same faces in there that I saw as a kid! The " whadaya have" in Dawsonville is not the same coming from a white teenage guy! The food was consistent like it is between every location though, thats a plus! Beav they have one in Kennesaw as well.

By the way, Chis and Karen are so fun! You have some really nice friends. I hope to see them again.

Michael, I really liked meeting you and hope you can make it Friday as well. I can't promise the food will be great or anything, but the company will make up for any of my culinary shortcomings!

Try a frosted orange next time to complete your Varsity experience! We's ready for Friday!

They are fun, we used to work together right about the time I met Dawn back in the late 90's. We spent some drunk nights at Jimmy Buffett concerts back then too! They will be joining us for some more rides in the future! Chris is a hardcore rider! Karin is funny as ****, do not goto the casino with her and stay sober!

Nice write up, Johnny!

FIRST... I didn't even know that Chris and Karen had gotten cut off in the mist... Holy Crap! Glad it turned out OK! Stupid cagers!

What a GREAT DAY we had riding the Misty Mountains! Wish more of the Crew could have made it. but what's a little moisture when you're out having a great time riding with good friends?

Hwy 60 was the usual awesome twisties and general kick-azz-ness! My heart twinged when we passed the Wolf Pen Gap (Hwy 180) cutoff, 'cuz I SO wanted to GO NORTH on it! Was probably a good idea not to though...

The "Stop at the Top" was a relief, frankly... it was not the best day weatherwise, but NGB was actually enjoying the fog and general spookiness of the ride. You'd have to talk with her about that... I was half expecting some dude with no head and a sword on a horse to ride by and take us all out!

All in all, a very enjoyable day, and one of those rides that makes you think about why you ride in the first place. Not the easiest or most comfortable ride - but one that really (and unexpectedly) got to the soul...

Of course, there will be 2 hours of cleaning to do now... but it's all good!

Yeah that car cut right into Michael and Chris, thats why Chris got pissed and blew past us, he wanted to get ahead of the Pickens County fools driving on the big road and scared!

Misty Mountains just sounds like a **** start, just saying

That was my 1st time going up 60 on the bike, I enjoyed it and cannot wait to do it again when dry and hit the Wolf pen, had we done that, we would just now be getting home!!

Had my 1st one in September of 1975, was right under 3 months old, parents took me to the Varsity and a Ga Tech game. Everytime we went to a Tech game, Varsity came 1st!

As long as Johnny doesn't make a weather call I can ride the bike. My son needs the car. Just need to see what my daughter is doing.
