We built a few rat motors too for our jet boats. Back in the 90's a 468ci motor was a BiG motor. What they do now to these new generation Big blocks is amazing to me. I still have my old 1979 jet with 502 and nitrous.

These guys buying offshore boats these days will buy with twin 502' or the 565's Merc and take them out after a few hours to refit with stupid horsepower.

The Scarab is just a big pleasure boat no need for big ponies.

My go fast is a 32 Skater. Just got it back in April and she hasn't been on the water yet. I went to the dark side on this one. Twin Mercury 300 X's. should be close to triple digits.
