Yep. 55 one way. Price you sometimes pay in rural America for a good job......but I know some metro folks that drive a ways too....

Uhuh... I live ina rural area but only 5 miles in any direction from civilization... all back roads to and from the werk places except for the one south of here 35 miles... havta travel the slab....

when I work nights and can ride the ferry both ways, it's a 15mile ride. On days, when the ferry shuts down before I get off, it's a 35mile ride home.

I understand I lived in rural areas my whole career and other then the cost of the extra gas I think I would rather have a long commute as to ride a train or sit in traffic for 4 hours a day to and from work ! But hey I was spoiled the last 30 some years of my career I could walk to work rain, shine, sleet and snow and did not have to deliver the mail ! No offense to our dedicated postal workers !

Now I'm going for that ride ! See ya this PM !
