Interesting that a couple of these Aces lived through combat then died after the war in plane crashes. Perhaps dying doing what you love is best, huh?

 

My Great Uncle, Paul Bevers, was an aircraft commander in WW2 in 380th Bomb Group. What a guy! Standing left in back row in photo at top of page.
